Our proposals for the Mount Pleasant site – see the latest NEWS

CRtB 1: SOUTH-EASTERN CORNER OF MOUNT PLEASANT DEVELOPMENT SITE

In order to get planning permission more suited to the community around the Mount Pleasant site, a submission was developed that focussed on one area of the site – near Christopher Hatton Primary School and the Apple Tree pub.
This proposed development contains:

• More social housing than the development proposed by Royal Mail Group

• Design that is more appropriate to the local area

• Proposed heights well below the buildings RMG wish to build

• Better connectivity with existing streets

In line with the procedures set out by the Community Right to Build (CRtB) scheme, this proposed development was put out to wide local consultation. Local people responded positively.

See these computer-generated images to see what the CRtB development will look like. The public are to be consulted about any changes. CRtB 1 Visuals

CRtB 2 – ROYAL MAIL DEVELOPMENT SITE LAND BETWEEN CRtB1 AND THE POST OFFICE MUSEUM SITE

Work was set to begin on this but once CRtB 1 did not pass at first submission our interested buyer also lost their developer so this project did not go forward.
