The Mount Pleasant Association (MPA) was set up in 2014 to counter the poor development of the Royal Mail Group’s land at Mount Pleasant, London EC1 and WC1, and to offer an alternative vision.
Since then, the MPA has expanded its scope. It now has three distinct remits:
- Via a wing called the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood Forum (MPNF), to represent local views in planning law – a legal requirement of CRtB and a vital way to ensure that local voices are heard. This is now our main work. We are developing a local plan that can help us be part of the process for any new development so we can hopefully avert bad decisions for our area and enable good ones.
You can read more about our plan here
- As MPA, to engage with current local issues across our designated area
- As MPA Ltd, to bring forward our exciting plans to buy the Royal Mail Group land via a Community Right To Build (CRtB) development company (now dormant)
